The psychologist will complete comprehensive psychological assessments utilizing standardized intellectual, behavioral, and adaptive functioning instruments in accordance with established evaluation guidelines and clinical standards. This position is ideal for a clinician seeking flexible, remote work with a low-volume caseload focused on evaluations, report writing, and professional clinical recommendations. Primary Responsibilities <ul><li>Conduct virtual psychological evaluations using approved standardized assessment tools.</li><li>Administer intellectual and cognitive assessments, including:<ul><li>Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS)</li><li>Wechsler Memory Scale</li><li>Slosson Intelligence Test-Revised</li><li>Bender Motor Gestalt Test</li><li>Beck Depression Inventory or other accepted clinical instruments</li></ul></li><li>Conduct behavioral and adaptive functioning assessments utilizing:<ul><li>Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales (Interview Edition)</li><li>AAMD Adaptive Behavior Scale</li><li>Other clinically accepted adaptive behavior instruments</li></ul></li><li>Complete structured clinical interviews lasting approximately 20–40 minutes.</li><li>Assess and document:<ul><li>Ability to relate and respond appropriately</li><li>Activity level and distractibility</li><li>Coordination, posture, and balance</li><li>Orientation to person, place, and time</li><li>Speech and language functioning</li><li>Thought processes and organization</li><li>Mood and affect</li><li>Self-concept and insight</li><li>Strengths and coping strategies</li><li>Social supports and relationships</li><li>Leisure interests and activities</li></ul></li><li>Prepare comprehensive written psychological evaluation reports with diagnostic impressions and recommendations.</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA, state licensing regulations, and organizational standards.</li><li>Participate in occasional case consultations or interdisciplinary meetings as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications <ul><li>Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology in NC from an accredited institution.</li><li>Active and unrestricted psychologist license in applicable state(s).</li><li>Experience conducting psychological and intellectual evaluations.</li><li>Proficiency with standardized psychological testing instruments.</li><li>Strong clinical interviewing and report-writing skills.</li><li>Ability to independently manage a remote evaluation process.</li><li>Comfortable utilizing telehealth and virtual assessment platforms.</li><li>Knowledge of adaptive behavior assessments and developmental/intellectual disability evaluations preferred.</li></ul>Preferred Experience <ul><li>Experience with disability evaluations, community mental health, or forensic assessments.</li><li>Familiarity with multidisciplinary evaluation processes.</li><li>Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.</li><li>Telehealth evaluation experience strongly preferred.</li></ul>Schedule & Compensation <ul><li>Flexible schedule based on referral volume.</li><li>Very part-time contract or PRN arrangement.</li><li>Compensation per completed evaluation/report or hourly rate based on experience.</li></ul>Additional Requirements <ul><li>Must maintain professional liability insurance.</li><li>Must comply with all telehealth and licensing regulations.</li><li>Reliable internet connection and secure workspace required.</li></ul>Key Skills <ul><li>Psychological testing</li><li>Diagnostic assessment</li><li>Clinical interviewing</li><li>Report writing</li><li>Telehealth services</li><li>Independent clinical judgment</li><li>Time management</li><li>Professional communication</li></ul> This is a remote position.
