Purpose of the Course By the end of the semester, students will: • Be comfortable conducting an initial intake interview with an individual client or couple • Have a methodology for organizing the information obtained in the interview into a case report • Understand the importance of culture in conducting interviews, building rapport, and conceptualizing clients and their problems • Understand what is meant by evidence-based practice (E-BP), what constitutes evidence, and the difference between E-BP and practice-based evidence.
