The admissions coordinator is responsible for increasing quality census by educating the community, customers and referral sources of the long-term care benefits and admission process.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions<ul><li>The Director of Admissions will handle and implement employee, public relations and community initiatives</li><li>Maintain high visibility of the facility in the community to project a resource image for issues of short or long-term health care</li><li>Educate discharge planners, social workers, physician and other local health providers of the services/programs offered and bed availability</li><li>Follow up on all inquiries to answer further questions on Medicare/Medicaid, billing, facility services, etc</li><li>Coordinating all admission decisions through the Clinical Nurse Liaison, Director of Nursing or Administrator</li><li>Maintain the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure resident rights, privacy and property are protected at all times</li><li>All other duties as assigned</li></ul>IND123

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:<ul><li>A College Degree in Liberal Arts, Nursing/Social Service or Related Field</li><li>At least six (6) months in a similar position</li></ul>
