This role is responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating pricing, and ensuring timely, cost-effective purchasing of materials, equipment, and services. The Purchasing Manager plays a critical role in maintaining project profitability—especially for reconstruction jobs—by aligning purchasing strategies with budgets, timelines, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Manage and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers </li><li>Source, evaluate, and onboard new vendors to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing </li><li>Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to maximize cost savings and support gross profit goals </li><li>Create, review, and track purchase orders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of materials </li><li>Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and operations teams to align purchasing with project scopes and budgets </li><li>Monitor material costs and market trends to proactively manage expenses </li><li>Support gross profit targets on reconstruction jobs through strategic purchasing and cost control </li><li>Resolve vendor issues, including delays, quality concerns, and billing discrepancies </li><li>Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing agreements, and vendor performance </li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies, insurance requirements, and industry standards </li><li>Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs </li><li>Assist with inventory management and material forecasting as needed </li></ul>  Qualifications (optional to include): <ul><li>Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management (construction or restoration industry preferred) </li><li>Strong negotiation and vendor management skills </li><li>Knowledge of construction materials, estimating, and job costing </li><li>Excellent organizational and communication abilities </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment</li></ul> All employees of a SERVPRO® Franchise are hired by, employed by, and under the sole supervision and control of an independently owned and operated SERVPRO® Franchise.
