Our continued growth and diversity created this need for a trustworthy performer to help us broaden our success in these markets.<h3>What defines a successful BOA Builders Purchasing Agent?</h3>The most important deliverables for this position are:Efficient and Effective Procurement<ul><li>Manage the procurement of materials and services to ensure timely delivery within budget</li><li>Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and trade partners</li><li>Negotiate contracts to secure the best prices and terms</li><li>Maintain accurate records of all transactions</li></ul>Software Optimization<ul><li>Continue software deployment and system maintenance</li><li>Complete new and review existing takeoffs to maintain material lists</li><li>Issue purchase orders and ensure accuracy in project management software</li><li>Continue improvements and procedure documentation in all systems</li></ul>Pre-Construction Collaboration<ul><li>Oversee project permitting</li><li>Bid and scope-of-work documentation for vertical construction</li><li>Budgeting for new homes and communities</li></ul>Warranty Coordination<ul><li>Receive and track homeowner warranty requests</li><li>Coordinate warranty repairs with trade partners and service providers</li><li>Schedule service visits and ensure warranty items are completed promptly</li><li>Maintain organized warranty records and communication logs</li><li>Communicate clearly with homeowners regarding scheduling and completion</li></ul>Rental Property Maintenance Coordination<ul><li>Receive and track maintenance requests from rental properties</li><li>Coordinate maintenance scheduling with service providers</li><li>Ensure repairs are completed efficiently and documented</li><li>Maintain organized records of maintenance activity and costs</li><li>Communicate with tenants or property managers regarding scheduling and completion</li></ul><h3>What experience and skills are needed to be our Purchasing Agent?</h3><ul><li>Ability to communicate clearly and effectively between field and office via email, text, and mobile devices</li><li>Strong negotiation skills and the desire to build long-term relationships with trade partners</li><li>Experience with procurement software and inventory management systems</li><li>Highly organized with excellent attention to detail</li><li>Experience in the construction industry</li><li>Prior purchasing experience required</li><li>Experience issuing purchase orders preferred</li><li>Valid driver's license required</li><li>Ability to travel locally as needed for site visits, meetings, or material pickup</li></ul> Pay & Benefits<ul><li>Full-Time, W-2 employment. </li><li>This is an on-site role in Grand Junction, CO, with occasional local travel for site visits, meetings, and material pickup.</li><li>$60,000-$100,000 annually, depending on experience. The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an accelerated, entry-level position designed to prepare you for a Store Management role in 18-24 months.
