Impact Electronic Solutions - Grants Pass Location (ESAM) - Position DescriptionJob title: BuyerDepartment: MaterialSupervision: Material ManagerSummary of Position:Under direction of the Material Department, responsible for preparing purchase orders (PO's) and purchasing all direct and indirect product to support the manufacturing process.Responsibilities:<ol><li style="text-align:justify">Obtain quotes for materials and supplies, verifying actual price to quoted price</li><li style="text-align:justify">Review the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system daily for customer requirements</li><li style="text-align:justify">Expedite orders already placed and follow thru to delivery</li><li style="text-align:justify">Maintain related paperwork files</li><li style="text-align:justify">Place requisition orders</li><li style="text-align:justify">Review customer flow down requirements</li><li style="text-align:justify">Coordinate with customer service and manufacturing staff</li><li style="text-align:justify">Resolve issues preventing material delivery</li><li style="text-align:justify">Resolve issues with materials placed in Materials Review Board (MRB) location</li><li style="text-align:justify">Write packing lists for shipping miscellaneous shipments</li><li style="text-align:justify">Perform special assignments and other duties as required.</li></ol>Requirements:<ol><li style="text-align:justify">Ensure department area is FOD free.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Understand, embrace and ensure compliance to ESAM's safety policies and procedures.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Creates department efficiencies and brings ideas to senior management.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Stay within budget guidelines</li><li>Stand or sit for eight (8) or more hours per day.</li></ol>Qualifications: <ol><li>Must be able to work overtime and weekends.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Able to read small print.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Have excellent manual dexterity.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Computer literate</li><li>Skilled in negotiation theory</li><li>Must be a U.S. person as defined in ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident) and defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a) (20)</li></ol>Schedule:<ul><li>Monday- Friday 6:00am-2:30pm</li><li>OT is required, as needed. OT Hours: Mon-Thursday 2 hours immediately following shift, and Sat.</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: One location
