Tasks include utilization of our forecasting system, projecting stock levels, monitoring the timeliness of deliveries, ensuring the adequate supply of all required materials, components and equipment, delivering cost savings for the company, managing supplier relationships including price negotiation, helping to source alternative items, resolving disputes and claims with vendors and suppliers, maintaining current and accurate supplier programs, developing new relationships with distributors, and working to create and promote a safe environment. Some overtime and weekend hours may be requested.Other expectations may include:<ul><li>Verify purchase requisitions generated by our forecasting system</li><li>Projecting stock levels, monitor deliveries, ensuring the adequate supply of all required materials, components and equipment</li><li>Preparing purchase orders and verifying specifications and price</li><li>Place orders with vendors and suppliers and continue to follow-up with them to ensure delivery deadlines are met</li><li>Keep information accessible by sorting and filing documents</li><li>Providepurchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends</li><li>Source alternative items as requested</li><li>Resolving disputes and claims with vendors and suppliers</li><li>Developing new relationships with vendors and suppliers</li><li>Process returns for non-conforming materials and products</li></ul>WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM<ul><li>2+ years of Purchasing experience</li><li>Experience working in an aerospace or Manufacturing environment is highly desirable</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Possess the ability to work productively, affectively, and independently with initiative and drive under tight deadlines and pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality</li><li>Willingness to learn, improve and adapt</li><li>Relevant skills in Excel and Word</li><li>Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future</li></ul>WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU<ul><li>Competitive wages depending on experience $24-$37/hr.</li><li>Shift: MondayFriday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm</li><li>On-the-job training andadvancement opportunities</li><li>Three weeks of paid time off.
