The responsibilities for this Mk21A Equipment Specialist position include: Providing expert technical advice and support to MK21A Product Support Manager and Product Support Division leadership in reviewing, validating and supporting DoD acquisition and logistics efforts; Acting as an Equipment Specialist for the Mk21A Program; Planning, managing, and coordinating the total cradle-to-grave life cycle cost, schedule, performance and logistics support for assigned systems or subsystems, integrating separate functions of supply, maintenance, procurement, provisioning and quality assurance into program activities required to sustain the system; Directing and determining support requirements; i.e., workloads, schedules, test equipment, facilities, skills, and training; Developing Product Support plans and milestones as directed by policy and guidance to provide the best product for the user, ensuring the most effective and economical means of support are considered and planned during all stages of a weapon system's life cycle; Guiding and assessing the logistics impact to acquisition programs, identifies overall tasks to be performed and takes actions to meet requirements; Providing expert technical advice and support in reviewing and validating electronic Technical Orders and Technical Manuals.
