GENERAL PUBLIC AND/OR NY HELPS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Radio Dispatcher: Six months of experience either as a police dispatcher, emergency services dispatcher, or public safety dispatcher; a member of a fire company or emergency medical services squad; a radio dispatcher of a mobile fleet; a toll collector for a public highway or bridge system; in a traffic management center; active duty service and an honorable discharge or under conditions in the NYS Restoration of Honor Act from the United States military; military duty in the United States Armed Forces National Guard or Reserve; or as a member of an organized Search and Rescue (SAR) task.
