Position Summary:
Students who read have the power to succeed, and we’re on a mission to make sure every student is a strong reader! Join Reading Corps as a Reading Tutor and you’ll spend your days at a local school helping students improve their skills. We’ll train you to deliver proven activities and coach you every step of the way! How does it work? Every school day you’ll see pairs of students for 20 minutes of reading practice. When your time together is up, you’ll help your students return to their classroom(s) and pick up your next pair for tutoring. You’ll repeat until all your students are served. With the extra attention and support, incredible growth happens. Compensation & Perks Package:
ScheduleWe are currently hiring for the 2026-27 school year. Positions run August 2026–June 2027.<ul><li>35 hours per week (less in weeks with holidays or school release days)</li><li>Daytime hours (corresponding with school start and end times)</li><li>Monday-Friday (no weekends)</li><li>Time off on holidays and school release days</li></ul> Part-time positions are also available at 27.5 & 20 hours per week!AmeriCorps positions include a total service-hour commitment for the program year.
