We are looking for a skilled and motivated Freelance/Part-Time Business Development Lead (BDL) to join Loka, the 2024 AWS Innovation Partner of the Year, for a 3-month experiment. Now, we’re looking for a Business Development Lead who can work with our CMO and sales team to help us unlock new opportunities through AWS-funded campaigns and strategic outreach.As a BDL, you’ll play a pivotal role in generating and nurturing leads, strengthening relationships with Loka and AWS sales teams, and helping architect a scalable BD process. To start, this is a part-time role (50-100 hours/month) with the goal to scale into a full-time position if the experiment proves successful. If you’re hungry to make an impact in a fast-moving, results-driven environment, we want to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead Generation:<ul><li>Drive 50–65 Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and 6–13 Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) through targeted AWS-funded campaigns.</li><li>Focus on SMB and startup lead generation and outreach.</li></ul></li><li>Pipeline Development:<ul><li>Identify and nurture new opportunities aligned with AWS funding programs such as MAP and SMB-focused offers.</li><li>Build and manage a self-controlled pipeline, positioning Loka as a preferred partner for AWS initiatives.</li></ul></li><li>Execution and Reporting:<ul><li>Bring your expertise to build and maintain structured outreach processes.</li><li>Provide CMO weekly updates on lead generation, pipeline progress, and AWS feedback.</li><li>Contribute to a final Q2 review assessing success metrics, ROI, and recommendations for scaling.</li></ul></li></ul>Key Metrics for Success:<ul><li>50–65 MQLs</li><li>6–13 SQLs</li><li>1-2 closed deals within the 3-month period</li><li>Strengthened AWS relationships and positive feedback from stakeholders</li><li>Clear ROI and a path to scalable BD processes for future campaigns</li></ul>Who You Are:<ul><li>Proven Experience:<ul><li>3–5 years of business development or sales experience, ideally in the cloud, SaaS, or tech ecosystem.</li><li>Experience working with AWS sales teams or cloud-focused campaigns.</li></ul></li><li>Skilled Communicator:<ul><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills for building trust with internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Expertise in crafting compelling outreach messages aligned with AWS-funded efforts.</li></ul></li><li>Strategic and Analytical:<ul><li>Results-driven with a focus on metrics, ROI, and strategic alignment.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple campaigns and assess their effectiveness with data-driven insights.</li></ul></li><li>Self-Starter with Structure:<ul><li>Comfortable working in a part-time, freelance capacity with minimal supervision.</li><li>Availability during early and core US business hours.</li><li>Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working within a tightly scoped role.</li></ul></li><li>U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (Green Card holder)</li></ul>Why Join Us?At Loka, we’re not just consultants—we’re builders, problem-solvers, and innovators.
