Job Title: Materials Planner / Inventory Control Clerk Location: Urbana, IL 61802 (Onsite) Duration: 06-month contract (with possible extension) Shift timing: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday Start Date: Targeting Apr 2026 Pay Rate: $24.31/hr. on W2 Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision.

Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules.

  Essential Functions Inventory Control Responsibilities<ul><li>Receive, count, and record stock items manually or using a computer</li><li>Pack and unpack items for storage</li><li>Store items in an orderly and accessible manner</li><li>Mark stock using tags, stamps, or labeling equipment</li><li>Verify inventory by comparing physical counts and system records</li><li>Investigate discrepancies and adjust errors</li><li>Examine stock for defects and report damages</li><li>Maintain records of stock usage and damage</li><li>Clean and maintain tools, supplies, and storage areas</li><li>Determine proper storage methods and locations</li><li>Assist with annual inventory and accounting processes</li><li>Support Shipping & Receiving as needed</li></ul>
  Materials Planning Responsibilities<ul><li>Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules</li><li>Confer with supervisors to track progress and completion timelines</li><li>Compile reports on work progress, inventory levels, and production issues</li><li>Coordinate day-to-day activities of inventory control</li><li>Create and manage purchase orders</li><li>Track and receive parts</li><li>Allocate parts to projects</li><li>Organize and conduct annual inventory</li><li>Cut and prioritize work orders</li><li>Determine quantities for work orders and purchase orders</li><li>Maintain low inventory levels and accurate counts</li><li>Communicate with Purchasing and Machine Shop for material coordination</li><li>Plan and schedule workflow based on manufacturing sequences and lead times</li><li>Plan assembly and production operations</li><li>Expedite delayed operations and adjust schedules as needed</li><li>Prepare production reports</li><li>Train, assist, and mentor team members</li><li>Review work of team members</li><li>Confer with supervisors or engineers to resolve production issues</li><li>Perform other assigned duties</li></ul>
