SUMMARY: Under general supervision, performs a variety of responsible and complex technical and administrative duties relating to personnel function and programs.  DUTIES: The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Duties and learning opportunities may include: <ul><li> Assisting with recruitment efforts for hotel, restaurant, winery, spa, and guest service positions </li><li> Coordinating interviews, candidate communication, and onboarding processes </li><li> Supporting new hire orientation and employee training programs </li><li> Learning hospitality scheduling, staffing, and labor management practices </li><li> Assisting with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and resort events </li><li> Maintaining employee records and personnel files with accuracy and confidentiality </li><li> Providing professional customer service to employees and managers regarding HR-related questions </li><li> Assisting with payroll preparation, timekeeping reviews, and HR reporting </li><li> Supporting benefits enrollment communication and employee documentation </li><li> Learning hospitality compliance standards related to wage and hour practices, workplace policies, and employee relations </li><li> Assisting with preparation of job postings, recruitment advertisements, and hiring events </li><li> Gaining exposure to resort operations including Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Spa, and Winery departments </li><li> Participating in leadership meetings and operational discussions to better understand hospitality management </li><li> Completing special projects designed to improve employee experience and operational efficiency</li></ul>JOB KNOWLEDGE <ul><li> Intention to or current enrollment in a degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field </li><li> High school juniors/seniors, college students, and recent graduates are encouraged to apply</li><li> Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred </li><li> Strong communication and organizational skills </li><li> Professional demeanor with a willingness to learn in a fast-paced hospitality environment </li><li> Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly </li><li> Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills preferred </li><li> Availability to work onsite during the internship program</li></ul>WORKING CONDITIONS Works primarily indoors throughout shift. The General Manager acts as a distinguished and eloquent ambassador with a clear vision for their hotel. This individual is entrusted with overseeing all operational facets of the designated property, offering direction, supervision, and mentorship to both the managerial team and frontline staff.The General Manager ensures the hotels financial objectives are met, upholds top-tier product and service quality, and guarantees operations adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as Company and brand guidelines. In setting priorities, the General Manager will help in all aspects of the hotel's operations as well as drive essential operational strategies, including sales planning, budget formulation, and execution of property enhancement initiatives. By providing direct leadership, they strive to bolster revenue while adeptly managing expenses.
