RESPONSIBILITIESConduct community outreach and participant recruitment to enroll members of the target populationCollaborate with other Male Involvement Network program and REACHUP, Inc. staff to refer clients among programs and create more effective internal coordinated system of careAssist in developing, planning, coordinating, and facilitating a county-wide collaboration of organizations providing fatherhood servicesFacilitate 24/7 Dad® curriculum workshops, weekend retreats and other groupsProvide case management to a minimum of 10% of the men enrolled in the 24/7 Dad® Program: conduct a fatherhood assessment including NCAST and develop a family resource support plan which identifies needs and goals related to social support, employment, education, child support/child custody, parenting, and personal healthCreate and maintain up-to-date paper and electronic client records to include, but are not necessarily limited to, case notes, group notes, sign-in sheets, pre-/post-tests, evaluations, and Certificates of CompletionPrepare and submit timely reportsParticipate in community meetings and outreach activitiesParticipate in REACHUP, Inc. and 24/7 Dad® Team meetings, multi-disciplinary team meetings, and other meetings as requiredAttend necessary trainings and educational sessions, including HIPAA and CITI Human Subjects ProtectionMaintain flexible hours and schedule visits according to families' needsRepresent the agency in a professional manner within the communityWork well with other agencies' personnelAgree to travel throughout Hillsborough County and working in clients' homesPerform other duties as requiredREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIESAbility to be responsible, enthusiastic, and energeticCapable of working independently as well as within a team structureStrong written and verbal communication skills as well as strong client engagement skillsKnowledge of community resourcesAbility to work independently and as a team memberPossess good verbal and written communication skillsBilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not requiredAbility to provide culturally relevant servicesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience and/or aptitude in conducting presentations including the use of visual aids such as PowerPointExperience and competency working with diverse families and culturesAbility to work evenings and weekendsComputer literate in Microsoft products and data entry with the ability to learn new software applicationsAbility to tolerate exposure to tobacco smoke, domestic animals, household pests, and other conditions common to a variety of home environments EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEBachelor's Degree in Behavioral Sciences (social work, human services, or counseling) PreferredTwo years college credits or Associates Degree, RequiredMinimum of two years of experience home visiting and/or facilitating group programs and working with diverse families with a Bachelor's DegreeMinimum of five years of experience home visiting and/or facilitating group programs and working with diverse families with Associates Degree or equivalentCreating strengths-based assessments family support plansWorking collaboratively with child and family-serving organizations, schools, providers, and other community agencies. The goals of the position are as follows: 1) Increase knowledge; 2) Assist fathers and father-figures to address issues that negatively impact their relationships with their children and/or their children's co-parents; and 3) Plan, coordinate and facilitate various fatherhood activities, including the development of a county-wide collaboration of organizations providing fatherhood services.
