For the BHSU Assigned Residential Therapist II must have the following qualifications:Independently licensed LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist who has either an LCADC/CADC orat least two years of experience* providing direct clinical services to youth and young adults with cooccurring behavioral health and substance use treatmentneeds.*The requisite SUD treatment experience with youth should demonstrate the 1) use ofintegratedassessment approach that results in highly individualized and holistic treatment plans; 2) theuseof trauma informed evidence-based practices that assist youth and young adults inidentifyingand changing patterns of behavior related to substance use; 3) the delivery ofpsycho-educationalgroups supportive of age appropriate pro-social learning, problem solving,life-skilldevelopment, and coping strategies.3. Our young ladies work on anger/aggression, depression, substance abuse, attachment, anxiety, self-harmSome of them are working toward returning home and will complete progressive passes in the community and at home to practice their skillsTherapists provide individual, group, and family therapy, working closely with our multi-disciplinary team including schoolsOur Allied team hosts weekly activities/events with the residents, offering opportunities for staff to get involved in fun activities with the young ladies.
