Must have Audio Visual experienceJob Summary:The VDC Specialist is responsible for the creation and documentation of models, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and other associated design and construction documents.Job Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Create, set-up, manage, and populate design and construction models as necessary to build working views, sheet views, and 3D views for export using Revit or other software.</li><li>Run internal clash detection tests to assist project team with coordination process.</li><li>Generate design and construction documentation for structured cabling projects during design, shop drawings, and as-builts phases of a project.</li><li>Provide VDC/BIM quality assurance by reviewing project BIM standards, execution plans and design drawings for completeness and accuracy.</li><li>Participate in project VDC coordination meetings: spatial coordination of disciplines, gathering all disciplines BIM models including civil and performing coordination tasks in Navisworks, BIM360 Glue and/or other coordination software.</li><li>Manage 3D models for design and/or construction coordination and submission for approval by general contractor.</li><li>Set-up electronic file and information exchanges utilizing various platforms, including Bluebeam Revu.</li><li>Lead coordination and communication between VDC, design, and operations teams to resolve issues in the model, in the drawings, and in the field.</li><li>Assist VDC and Operations teams in reviewing and resolving issues during construction and updating the model and drawings accordingly.</li><li>Attend meetings and submit updates to management regarding project status and needs.</li><li>Correspond regularly with project managers, general contractors and other subcontractors.</li><li><a target="_blank"></a>Develop length and quantity take-offs utilizing various take-off software.</li><li>Mentor VDC Operator I & II staff and other responsibilities as assigned.</li></ul>
