Wichita State University’s Community Engagement Institute (CEI) is seeking a public health data specialist to join the LHD AoS National Librarian Team. This role combines facilitation, public health data expertise, and hands-on implementation to strengthen LHD AoS impact and sustainability nationwide.Required Education This is specific to each position and department. See additional requirements and/or preferences.Additional Requirements Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in public health, epidemiology, data science, library science, or related field (Master’s preferred) • 3+ years of experience in public health program management, data management, or national initiatives • Experience with survey design and/or public health data • Knowledge of evaluation design and data-driven decision-making • Strong facilitation and relationship-building skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Required Experience This is specific to each position and department. See additional requirements and/or preferences.Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with local or state health departments • Familiarity with national public health organizations (NACCHO, ASTHO, CSTE, CDC) • Experience onboarding teams or programs across multiple jurisdictions • Experience developing tools, curricula, or training for distributed audiencesPhysical Requirements Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
