The position responsibilities will include 1) effective teaching in the classroom, 2) ensuring concentration goals and curricula align with divisional mission and goals, and industry needs, 3) participating in outreach activities with students, external stakeholders, finance, real estate, investment banking professionals and colleagues across the college, 4) assisting with AACSB and SACSCOC accreditation and program assessment in the finance concentration, 5) maintaining a successful record of scholarship and research, 6) involvement in Project ACCLAIM (an UNCF SMIF) and/or the Morehouse Real Estate Institute, and 7) assisting in advising student organizations. The candidate selected for the Endowed Chair in Finance must be willing to examine how factors such as financial transactions and investments, accounting practices, management principles, marketing strategies, macro- or micro-economic forces, or entrepreneurial actions can impact the context shaping health disparities or community well-being.
