This position is part time, assisting our full time counselors with afternoon and weekend groups.To be considered, you must have prior experience as a counselor, have a license or provisional license, and preferably have previous experience in substance abuse/addiction treatment. No phone calls or in person visits please so we may focus on patient care.If you join our team, you'll enjoy the following responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide clinical services via individual, group and family therapy.</li><li>Provide crisis intervention and referrals for patients.</li><li>Participate in clinical assessments and screenings to aide in the admissions process.</li><li>Write and submit clinical master admission, discharge and updated treatment plans, and clinical updates for UR review.</li><li>Conduct assessments and evaluations based on the model/treatment criteria.</li><li>Engage patients at admission and through their treatment episode to ensure delivery of the best patient care with unconditional positive regard.</li><li>Document patient notes, interventions, phone calls, and overall patient data, including symptom monitoring.</li><li>Document weekly progress notes and weekly progress questionnaires.</li><li>Keep all patient charts up to date.</li><li>Work collaboratively with the medical and clinical team and provide immediate notification of unusual or potentially high-risk findings.</li><li>Actively participate in weekly medical and/or clinical staffing of patients.</li><li>Contact current patients on a regular basis to keep patients engaged.</li><li>Provide support for clinical services to other team members when needed.</li><li>Adhere to rules and regulations regarding treatment, such as group size, caseload and referrals.</li><li>Aggressively implement continuous quality improvement initiatives.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>You must have the following education, skills and experience to be considered:<ul><li>Current, unrestricted license – LAC, CAC, RAC, CCS, LMSW, LCSW, LPC (or PLPC), LMFT (or PLMFT), etc. A Counselor in Training (CIT) may be permitted in lieu of a license.</li><li>Prior experience as a clinician, providing therapy services in addiction treatment or dual-diagnosis.</li><li>Possess an understanding of the role of 12-step principles in sobriety.</li><li>Ability to positively interact and develop rapport with patients and their families, professional support staff, team members and various individuals from the community agencies.</li><li>Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.</li><li>High energy with engaging personality and strong people skills.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar.
