Operates laboratory equipment and reviews and assists in performing specimen testing (including chemistry, coagulation, hematology, special chemistry, urinalysis, blood bank, serology, immunology, bacteriology, microbiology, referral testing and more) under the supervision of a MLS or MT. Performs all clerical duties to initiate the processing of specimens and the reporting of results including but not limited to proper specimen collection, labeling, handling, preservation or fixation, processing or preparation, transportation and storage.
