<h5>Digital Retoucher </h5>As a Digital Retoucher, you will support the creation of compelling brand imagery across marketing channels including e-commerce, print, and digital campaigns. You will execute color corrections, compositing, and detailed retouching to produce polished, accurate imagesthat reflect the quality and craftsmanship of our products. Working closely with the Senior Retoucher and the broader creative team, you will help maintain visual consistency and ensure imagery meets brand standards and technical specifications. You will also support selecting images to process, releasing assets for production, and ensuring Metadata is added to imagery. We are looking for someone that can flex in to support the Digital Studio photo team as a digital tech when needed. Responsibilities <ul><li>Perform high-quality retouching and color corrections on product and lifestyle imagery to ensure accuracy and consistency. </li><li>Assist with compositing tasks including background cleanup, image blending, and environment enhancements. </li><li>Support maintaining color consistency across product collections and storytelling chapters across multiple shoots and locations. </li><li>Remove imperfections and refine product details while maintaining a natural, elevated aesthetic (e.g., removing scratches or dents, correcting fabric colors, adjusting hardware, and cleaning up surfaces). </li><li>Implement creative direction markups and feedback, executing revisions through multiple rounds until final approval. </li><li>Collaborate with senior retouchers, creative directors, digital techs, and the asset production team to ensure assets meet brand and production standards. </li><li>Coordinate with Creative team leaders to select images to process, and release to production </li><li>Add and ensure accurate product Metadata is assigned to imagery </li><li>Maintain organized files and adhere to established workflows including naming conventions, color space requirements, cropping standards, and file specifications. </li><li>Manage assigned retouching tasks efficiently and maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline driven production environment. </li><li>Stay informed about evolving retouching techniques, tools, and best practices to continually improve craft and efficiency. </li></ul>Criteria <ul><li>Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and familiarity with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications. </li><li>Working knowledge of AI image manipulations using Firefly, Chat GPT, Gemini and other emerging technologies. </li><li>Experience with Airtable or other industry-standard photography and post-production tools. </li><li>Digital Tech experience. </li><li>Strong understanding of color correction, lighting, and image quality for premium product presentation. </li><li>Excellent attention to detail with a strong eye for color, texture, and realism. </li><li>Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments while maintaining consistency and quality. </li><li>Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate within a cross-functional creative team. </li><li>Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented. </li><li>3+ years of retouching experience, preferably in home furnishings, interiors, fashion, or e-commerce photography. </li><li>Experience working in a studio, in-house creative team, or agency environment is a plus. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in photography, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred. </li></ul>This role requires being onsite in the Richmond, CA photo studio Our Culture & Values We believe that taking care of our people is vital to our success and we strive to offer equitable and transparent practices for all. About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Stylist, Visual Direction to elevate and advance our Lay Down (PPLD) work. Youwill work closely with Photo, Retouching, and Brand partners to ensure premium, consistent, intentional imagery across all categories while helping modernize our workflow through new tools, including AI. This role supports both the creative bar and the systems behind it: coaching stylists, maintaining standards, strengthening workflow, and pushing our styling practice forward.What You'll Do Styling Craft & Creative Direction • Act as the studio's PPLD styling expert: techniques, tools, composition, shaping, folding, texture, shadow, and accuracy. • Style as needed across categories; on-figure experience is a plus. • Train and coach stylists directly on set, reinforcing elevated techniques and best practices. • Provide markups in Axis and ensure photographers and retouchers receive clear, actionable direction. • Partner with Photo and Retouching teams through weekly touchpoints to align on angles, lighting, quality expectations, and post-production needs. • Conduct regular site audits to evaluate accuracy, consistency, and customer impact; translate findings into styling and retouching updates. • Track styling trends, pull swipe, and incorporate new creative references, including AI- generated concepts when appropriate, to keep our work modern and forward-thinking. Workflow Leadership & Team Support • Curate daily and weekly workloads based on skill sets, product complexity, and volume. • Serve as a daily resource for stylists - reviewing work, making decisions, and supporting growth. • Maintain a strong understanding of shot complexity, timing, and retouching needs to support accurate planning and meet deliverables. • Build and maintain style guides, decks, and documentation for both internal teams and freelancers. • Support product walk-throughs with clear interpretations of brand intent. Senior Stylist, Visual Direction • Act as a liaison between Styling, Photo, Retouching, and Brand to ensure alignment and consistent communication. • Identify opportunities to streamline or enhance the workflow - including exploring AI tools that improve ideation, documentation, or efficiency without compromising craft. Creative + Operational Duality This role blends: • Creative vision - high taste level, editorial eye, strong product storytelling. • Operational clarity - smart scheduling, pace setting, quality control, and strategic use of evolving tools (including AI). Who You Are Who You Are/Additional Job Description: • Highly skilled in PPLD styling with exceptional attention to detail and taste. • A strong teacher and mentor, able to give clear, actionable feedback. • Comfortable partnering deeply with Photo and Retouching. • Open and curious, interested in new tools, including AI, and how they can elevate or streamline styling work. • Creative yet grounded in operational realities (timing, shot count, accuracy). • Calm, collaborative, and an excellent communicator. • Excited to build systems, elevate craft, and strengthen the Styling function. • 10+ years of advanced styling experience, with deep roots in PPLD and a sharp, editorial eye. Art direction experience is a plus, but styling expertise is a must. • 4+ years in a stylist leadership or management capacity, guiding quality, coaching the team, and maintaining high creative standards.
