Associate's degree in occupational safety and health REQUIRED 5+ years of Safety Management Experience Experience creating site specific safety plans that encompass all OSHA requirements Experience creating Emergency Action Plans following NFPA 1600 guidelines Experience with Safety Management Systems which track incident safety metrics Experience compiling and managing key EHS performance indicators Experience with Workers Compensation Claims and Case Management Experience with Universal Waste Management Experience with commercial building operations Effective verbal and written communication skills Experience working in a team environment but comfortable working alone with little direction Experience working independently and within a group, excellent time management, strategic planning and ability to pivot between competing priorities and situations Experience building and fostering a Culture of Safety within an organization Strong working knowledge of NFPA 70E and LOTO program requirements Strong working knowledge in federal, state, and local EPA, OSHA and NFPA regulations Strong working knowledge of Incident investigation, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective actions Strong working knowledge of Behavior Based Safety practices Familiarity with Construction Safety and Net Zero Waste concepts and program initiatives Proof of Safety Certification from BCSP, NASP or an affiliated College Certification program Proof of OSHA 30 Hour General or Construction Industry Training Proficient with Microsoft Applications. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection Possession of a valid driver's license for work-related travel, as required.
