Overview: This position supports the Cardiologist in performing a wide range of diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, Swan-Ganz catheterization, pacemaker procedures, transesophageal echocardiography with cardioversion (TEE/CV), intra‑aortic balloon pump (IABP) support, percutaneous coronary interventions, and other minor procedures requiring the administration of moderate sedation. Performs recorder/monitor functions, including documenting procedures, balancing and calibrating equipment, operating physiologic recorders, and calculating and reporting patient data obtained in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
