GY6 is a Small Business Administration-certified, Native Hawaiian Organization-Owned, 8(a) Small Business that provides services and solutions in the areas of Environmental Services, Information Technology Services, Healthcare Services and Professional and Technical Services to the Department of Defense and other Federal agencies. GY6 is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Kina'ole Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit established to benefit Native Hawaiian communities. You will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>401K</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>...and much, much more!</li></ul> Duties and Responsibilities:Site Superintendent Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Management of day-to-day field operations including coordination of all service lines and subcontractors to include oversight and compliance with schedule, budgets, schedules, and Site Safety & Health Programs for field activities</li><li>Coordination of work with client personnel</li><li>Communication/coordination with Project Managers and responsible for quality of product and safety of all crews</li><li>Other duties as assigned by Supervisor</li></ul>Site Safety & Health Officer Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide health and safety (H&S) support for projects as a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO)</li><li>Implement and adhere to approved Accident Prevention Plan (APP), stop work for unsafe conditions participate in job walks and pre-job planning. </li><li>Prepare and review project work plans.</li><li>Specify and obtain safety supplies.</li><li>Provide supervision for recognition, evaluation, and control of site hazards.</li><li>Establish safe work procedures.</li><li>Monitor safe work practices.</li><li>Present daily safety meetings, initial site safety briefings, and safely training.</li><li>Perform safety inspections and follow up actions.</li><li>Conduct exposure monitoring.</li><li>Complete incident reporting and investigations.</li><li>Maintain H&S record keeping.</li><li>Provide health and safety technical assistance as needed.</li><li>Onsite inspections and documentation of all daily inspections.</li><li>Test and adhere to established procedures.</li><li>Investigating causes of occurrence.</li></ul>Minimum Requirements:<ul><li>5 years in tank and fueling system construction and repairs, 3 of which should include supervision on DoD fueling systems repairs and new construction project work</li><li>High School Diploma and general education diploma (GED) required. </li><li>Familiar with implementation of EM-385-1-1 and OSHA compliant programs</li><li>Capable of reading and working with excel spreadsheets for development of short-term schedule projection and budget management</li><li>Ability to read client specifications, drawings and safety requirements</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in both oral and written communication</li><li>Ability to operate computers using standard word processing and spreadsheet programs</li><li>First Aid/CPR, OSHA 30, EM385-1-1.</li><li>Must pass GY6 standard pre-employment physical, background and drug screens</li><li>Physically able to travel and negotiate areas in and around fueling equipment at military & commercial installations</li></ul>Preferred Requirements and Qualifications:<ul><li>Competent Person for Excavation, Confined Space, LOTO, Fall Protection and Scaffolding, some of which may be obtained upon hire. </li></ul> GY6 is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
