Job Title: Safety CoordinatorReports To: General ManagerFLSA Status: Non Exempt Summary Ensure compliance with Champion's safety program to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment by performing the following duties personally or through supervisors. Responsible for deployment of the plant safety training program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.<ul><li>Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.</li><li>Plans and implements programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices, fire prevention, and the identification of and correct handling techniques for hazardous materials.</li><li>Inspects plant and office facilities to detect accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.</li><li>Provides information, signs, posters, barriers, and other materials to warn of safety hazards and to prevent access to hazardous conditions.</li><li>Leads the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations.</li><li>Compiles and submits accident reports required by regulatory agencies.</li><li>Prepares and arranges safety exhibits and materials for display, promotional work, industry conferences, and exhibitions.</li><li>Represents the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs.</li><li>Maintains safety files and records, both written and electronic.</li></ul> Qualifications <ul><li>Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) preferred but not required for this position</li></ul><ul><li>Leadership experience in a safety or operations role is preferred</li><li>Experience in formal incident investigation and OSHA regulations</li><li>Exceptional communication skills, such as the ability to effectively communicate information to the team</li><li>Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills</li><li>Proficient skills in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint</li><li>Great organizational skills</li><li>Excellent team player attitude</li><li>Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily activities</li></ul> Education and/or Experience Two to four years related experience and/or training related to safe operation in a manufacturing environment preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations First Aid and CPR EEO StatementChampion Home Builders is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. What You Will Do • Assist PSM with facilitating Safety & Health training for employees, contractors, etc., as required and needed. • Support the planning and implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT). • Be knowledgeable and current on all internal Koch/DEPCOM EHS Standards and relevant state and federal environmental law. • Aid incident investigations, root cause analysis, and determining corrective actions to prevent incident recurrence and makes recommendations for correcting unsafe conditions and actions. • Foster an EHS environment of collaboration and active participation with all employees. • Conduct walk-through inspections of field job sites to identify and eliminate hazardous conditions and unsafe acts performed by employees. • Assist with managing site risks including facilitating risk assessments, job safety analyses, JHA reviews and PPE assessments. • Provide appropriate care and support for onsite injuries within standard of care. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) • Minimum of 2 years of experience on a project in a construction safety role as a titled safety professional • Completion of OSHA 510 training course • OSHA 30 construction • First aid and AED certification What Will Put You Ahead • Prior safety experience working in solar PV or BESS construction sites • Bachelor's degree in safety (EH&S) • Completion of OSHA 500 training course • CHST certificationAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
