The selected candidate will provide comprehensive direct patient care by developing and implementing nursing care plans, administering medications, assisting with examinations, maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, ensuring medication and infection control compliance, responding to emergencies, monitoring patient safety, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and accurately documenting and communicating all aspects of patient care. Programs include inpatient interventions, jail-based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long-term psychiatric care are coordinated with the total system of care in Louisiana.
