Job Type Full-time Description The science teacher will be responsible for 7th-grade science advanced as well as biology honors and standard for 9th grade. The science teacher must communicate effectively through a relational approach, encouraging students to take risks inlearning and demonstrate learning in innovative ways. The science teacher is a part of the secondary faculty and reports to the secondary principal. All faculty members are expected to contribute to chapel and other spiritual development activities and other duties as assigned. Major Responsibilities: <ul><li>Prepare appropriate weekly lesson plans, including instructional objectives, learning activities, and assessments integrated with biblical foundations </li><li>Utilize appropriate educational technology </li><li>Create and evaluate appropriate instructional and assessment methods to measure student learning </li><li>Maintain appropriate pacing per the curriculum guide </li><li>Maintain a collaborative relationship with all members of the science department and other faculty </li><li>Demonstrate the maturity to inspire student learning and understanding of the age group </li><li>Maintain a positive classroom environment, conducive to learning yet open to questioning and participation </li><li>Effectively communicate and partner with parents in the educational and spiritual development of students </li><li>Support school initiatives and show support for student interests outside of the school day </li></ul>Requirements Requirements/Qualifications:<ul><li>Possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in science, chemistry, or a related content area </li><li>Possess or be qualified to apply for a Professional Teaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education </li><li>Exhibit a strong faith and exemplary lifestyle. </li><li>Must be able to establish and maintain effective professional relationships </li><li>Have experience using classroom technology, electronic resources, programs, and platforms </li><li>Ability to accept direction and professional development </li><li>Ability to exercise good judgment </li><li>Must submit to a background check </li></ul>Background Requirements:<ul><li>Background Check conducted through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse . Responsibilities:
In this role the Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist will perform the following job duties:<ul><li>Perform simple and complex analysis on tissue, blood and body fluids using laboratory instrumentation, manual methods and procedures</li><li>Approve the performance of tests by technicians</li><li>Assume accountability for patient tests by providing a high standard of quality using independent judgment in the performance of standard operating procedures and complex instrumentation in varying sample environments</li></ul>ScheduleFTE: .90 (36 hours/week)Shift Hours: 9:00am-9:00pmDays of Week: Variable

Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent that meets qualifications for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist from the Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel</li><li>Must meet state licensure requirements as stated in FL Statue 64B3-5.003 Technologist</li><li>One (1) year experience in NAACLS approved program OR one (1) year working as a Technologist in a hospital laboratory</li></ul>New hires effective October 1, 2024 must have a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Biology, or related field. Academic equivalent OR academic and work experience combination equivalency acceptable. Current employees who were hired or transferred into the position prior to October 1, 2024 who holds a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent which meets state licensure requirements as stated in FL Statute 64B3-5.003 Technologist will be grandfathered in.Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must possess either a temporary or current license as a State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist in Serology/Immunology and Hematology.Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose
