The Instructional Laboratory Technician I, under the general supervision of the Instructional Dean of Math and Science and the direct supervision of the Director of Instructional Laboratory Operations, prepares the laboratories for class session activities in a face to face environment for the physical sciences.

San Jacinto Community District seeks employees who value mentorship and working in a collegial, collaborative environment, guided by a commitment to helping all students achieve their educational goals. We have one (1) exciting opportunity for a full-time Instructional Laboratory Technician I, Physical Sciences (Chemistry) position located at our campus in Temecula, CA. The Instructional Laboratory Technician I, under the general supervision of the Instructional Dean of Math and Science and the direct supervision of the Director of Instructional Laboratory Operations, prepares the laboratories for class session activities in a face to face environment for the physical sciences. The incumbent responds to student questions and maintains a supportive and professional relationship with students, lead instructional laboratory technicians, and faculty. The Instructional Laboratory Technician I performs discipline-specific  tasks, prepares solutions and other laboratory materials; maintains stockrooms; assists in the set up and break down of experiments,  assists with receiving, and storing chemicals, laboratory supplies, and equipment.
