Might tutor other courses as needed, based on the applicants qualifications. **This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time, the pool will expire and applicants will be notified. Required Qualifications Must have received a B+ or greater in the class or classes you wish to tutor. Each level comes with a rate increase. <ul><li>Level 1 focuses on training tutors in the basics of being a tutor. </li><li>Level 2 is contingent on maintaining Level 1 training certification, and focuses on metacognitive and psychosocial requirements for tutoring. </li><li>Level 3 is contingent on maintaining Level 1 and 2 training certifications, and focuses on a more holistic view of learning center management and student development theories </li><li>Tutors who complete Level 3 are eligible to advance to the Lead Tutor role, which carries increased pay and responsibilities. This role provides direct tutoring support to students while also assisting the Tutoring Coordinator with management of the center, staff mentorship, and the implementation of tutoring training. </li></ul>Please note that the Lead Tutor position is contingent upon the tutoring center's needs and requires formal approval from the coordinator. Tutor WSU students in Health Sciences at the Ogden Learning Center as part of the Learning Support department. Tutoring is done on an individual appointment and/or drop-in basis. Availability for appointments is determined by the tutor. We require and provide training in tutoring techniques. **This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified. Required Qualifications<ul><li>Must be a WSU student. </li><li>Must have earned a B or better in the courses you propose to tutor. </li><li>A strong working knowledge of the subject matter you will be tutoring. </li><li>Good listening, communication, and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Ability to tutor many different courses. </li></ul> Background Check?
