Job Description:
Allied Universal® is hiring a Seasonal Field Technician. The Seasonal Field Technician is primarily responsible for assisting with the installation, setup, and disconnection of cameras. This role also assists with building a wired/wireless mesh network to enable video images to stream back to a central location.  <div><ul><li style="font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva';font-size:10pt">Seasonal Field Technician – IP Cameras & Wireless Mesh Networks (special events / large venues)</li><li style="font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva';font-size:10pt">Hands-on installs: temporary CCTV / IP video surveillance, wireless backhaul, command post streaming, video wall support</li><li style="font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva';font-size:10pt">Great fit for camera + network techs: RJ45 termination, IP addressing/subnets, wired/wireless networking in the field</li></ul></div> RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Load and unload equipment in preparation of the event</li><li>Safely operate motor vehicle from passenger vehicle and box truck of 16’ up to 26’</li><li>Install temporary IP cameras across large special event venues</li><li>Install and build out a combination of wired and wireless mesh network</li><li>Configure IP video cameras and wireless back haul equipment back to a centralized command post</li><li>Build a temporary video wall</li><li>Actively monitor cameras during event operational days or earlier as designated by project manager.</li><li>Assist in the maintenance of the IP camera system during the event including monitoring the overall system health and implementing changes as necessary.</li><li>Assist in the maintenance of the wireless network during the event including monitoring the network and implementing changes</li><li>Follow all safety protocols and guidelines</li><li>Uninstall and pack equipment at the end of the event</li><li>Tag equipment for repairs prior to shipping</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Valid driver's license</li><li>Minimum of two (2) years of work experience installing and configuring security cameras and wireless networks</li><li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering and construction drawings and specifications</li><li>Terminate RJ45 consistently and effectively in a timely manner</li><li>Intermediate computer proficiency</li><li>Understanding of IP addresses, subnets and network topology</li><li>Strong interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to work in a team environment</li><li>Ability to multi-task, discerns patterns in detail</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills</li><li>Able to speak clearly, give direction, and provide guidance to employees and security staff during emergencies</li><li>Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership</li><li>Planning and organizing skills</li><li>Problem solving skills; ability to develop and implement logical solutions</li><li>Active listening skills; able to synthesize facts, concepts, principles</li><li>Assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately</li><li>Attention to detail</li></ul>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):<ul><li>Previous experience in construction, telecommunications network maintenance, electrical work, security systems</li></ul>BENEFITS:<ul><li>Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance</li><li>Enrollment in our company’s 401(k)plan, subject to eligibility requirements</li><li>Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days</li><li>Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly.
