Mows, cuts, trims, and sprays vegetation; cuts and disposes of fallen trees and limbs • Safeguards plant equipment; initiates emergency repairs, as needed; monitors security cameras • Operates various types of machinery and equipment including skid steer loaders, mowers, chainsaws, stump grinders, etc. to clear brush, maintain grounds and roadways, and remove snow • Performs minor repairs on grounds equipment; converts equipment for seasonal use and various functions; removes and sharpens blades such as those on mowers, stump grinders, chainsaws, etc. • Checks effluent pump operation • Performs maintenance and repairs as directed to include lubrication, repacking valves, exercising valves, and repairing minor piping leaks • Collects water samples from test areas and wells following prescribed procedures • Opens and closes valves, drains, and vents on the spray effluent distribution piping as directed and/or following a prescribed schedule • Checks effluent piping and spray system regularly; cleans and/or replaces spray heads, straightens bent laterals, and performs minor repairs as directed.
