This position assists in the monthly AR closing process by calculating contractual reserves for each hospital. The Sr. Reimbursement Analyst also assists with the net revenue for the yearly hospital budgets. The position maintains current knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other State and Federal Regulations. This position works closely with various members of hospital staff, including Administration, on ad hoc reporting and research. The Senior Reimbursement Analyst works closely with the Reimbursement Analyst to provide guidance and mentoring.Other InformationQUALIFICATIONS• Bachelors degree - Minimum required experience of 5 years in a hospital environment.
• Must possess knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid Cost reports.
• Strong analytical skills required.
• Must be proficient in Excel and Cerner.
• Must have a solid understanding of reimbursement of SCH CAH and RHCs.
• Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with key members of the hospital.
• MBA of Accounting preferred.
