Typically gained by completion of at least 12 credit hours of college-level coursework in behavioral or social sciences i.e., psychology, social work, and/or criminal justice OR completion of an internship (at least 150 hours) related to this field OR at least 1 year of full-time experience involving daily interaction with clients and/or offenders to address behaviors, i.e. experience as a Law Enforcement Officer, Correctional Officer, criminal justice or mental health professional involving interaction with clients or offenders to address human behaviors (Office/administrative support work is non-qualifying). Typically gained from at least 6 months of full-time work experience identifying project needs, prioritizing tasks, identifying resources to use, developing strategies, and implementing goals or the completion of an internship (at least 150 hours or 3 credits) in a social service or law enforcement setting AND at least 6 months of work experience identifying project needs, prioritizing tasks, identifying resources to use, developing strategies, and implementing goals.
