BS degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related STEM technical field • At least 10 years of system security or information security engineering • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: • Proven work experience as a system security engineer or information security engineer • Demonstrated capability in mission definition, functional decomposition, requirements allocation, system design, and system lifecycle experience • Experience defining and analyzing threat/vulnerability likelihood, coupled with mission impact, to determine risk • Experience executing projects, which includes managing requirements, schedule, and budget • Hands-on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc • Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools • Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols • Familiarity with web-related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web-related protocols • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and deliver effective solutions in high-pressure environments • Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. • Advanced degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or other technical or engineering discipline • Certifications in one or more of the following: • (ISC) - Certification • Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) - Information System Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP) • ISC - Certification • CISSP - Information System Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) • Project Management Institute - Project Management Professional.
