Job DescriptionDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary duties and responsibilities of the Warehouse/Shipping Coordinator consist of, but are not limited to, the following:<ul><li>Exemplifies the Amcor Behaviors and Values at all times. Leads by example and exhibits professionalism in all areas when representing Amcor inside and outside of the plant.</li><li>Work in a professional manner with all associates and department managers/supervisors.</li><li>Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.</li><li>Review shipping schedule and update changes.</li><li>Print pick sheets and distribute copies to the Warehouse Department.</li><li>Schedule carriers for pick up.</li><li>Process loads using the TMC Portal.</li><li>Obtain freight rates for quotes.</li><li>Process bills of lading and packing lists.</li><li>Prepare export documentation (if needed).</li><li>Responsible for all activities of the shipping office to include liaison between the carrier, customer service, and plant personnel.</li><li>Responsible for communicating all customer or carrier issues to include stock issues, late appointments, trailer defects, and all other issues that would affect or prevent any on-time delivery.</li><li>Must have knowledge and understand the JDE shipping and inventory screens and be able to successfully process orders for shipment.</li><li>Should have a thorough knowledge of freight class, LTL and T/L.</li><li>Must have knowledge and understand the JDE receiving screens and be able to successfully process inbounds.</li><li>Must use 3rd Party shipping screens to process loads from Par 4, Flair, and Pioneer.</li><li>Must use Dock Manager in TMC which is a program integrated into our system for scheduling dock appointments.</li><li>Must use rec. screens to process all material and inter-company receipts.</li><li>Must use 3rd party CPU portals to process loads for Custom Culinary, Berlin Packaging, Tricrobraun, etc.</li><li>Must use UPS shipping program and label printer to ship small parcel items via UPS.</li><li>Must be computer literate and be able to use and understand Microsoft Office, Excel, and other computer programs.</li><li>Must be certified to operate a forklift. Must have been trained and successfully passed the written test and performance evaluation.</li><li>Promote plant goals such as safety, housekeeping, quality, GMP, AIB, ISO and SQF.</li><li>Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by management that the employee has been trained to perform.</li><li>Responsible for maintaining and adhering to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements.</li><li>Various other duties as assigned.</li></ul>EDUCATIONAL, SKILL, & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Previous experience in a fast-paced, shipping/warehouse environment is preferred.</li><li>Ability to train and obtain a certified fork lift operator certification.</li><li>Regularly required to sit for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.</li><li>Must be computer literate and be able to use and understand JDE, Excel, Outlook, and other computer programs.</li><li>Frequent exposure to production floor; required use of PPE including but not limited to: Bump Cap, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hi-Viz Vest, Hearing Protection.</li><li>Ability to read, write, and speak English.</li><li>Good communication skills--verbal and written; ability to effectively communicate.</li><li>Ability to work well independently or in a team environment; displaying ability to work and deliver results in a fast-paced, performance driven environment.</li></ul>Our ExpectationsWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
