div>- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a major in a human behavior science field, OR a degree with 30 semester hours, or 45 quarter hours, of qualified work in development in human behavioral sciences or health care related courses, such as, social work, sociology, psychology, psychiatry, gerontology, nursing special education, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures, therapeutic techniques, guidance and counseling, criminal justice, or other human behavioral sciences, or a medical field relevant to the APS program and/or at-risk adults.
- Provides one-on-one assessments of at-risk adults who are unable to protect their own interests based upon the following: a) physical appearance and hygiene; b) medical, nutritional, and environmental needs; c) competency and ability to understand self-determination and the result of the situation that is placing him/her at risk; d) activities of daily living; 3) support systems; f) ability to manage financial affairs.
