Identify the patient according to hospital policy. Ensure the correct procedure is to be performed on the patient either by the patient's medical record or physician's orders. Set up procedure room for the exam. Explain the exam to the patient and/or family member. Ensure the exam is labeled correctly. QA the exam before it is released for interpretation. CUSTOMER SERVICE - ULTRASOUND TECH: Perform very good customer service. Identify self to the patient and/or family. Explain exam/procedure the patient. Show respect/courtesy to the patient and family. Greet the patient and their family in a friendly manner. (Smile) DOCUMENTATION: Documents and submits required information and data in a timely fashion. Clearly and accurately documents designated processes, policies, products, service offerings, etc. Ensures that documentation is tailored to expected readers / users. Uses correct terminology. Conforms to required style and format. TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT USE: Demonstrates technical skill in using equipment appropriate for role. Understands equipment operation. Maintains equipment in working order. Troubleshoots equipment problems. Uses technology to increase productivity.
