<p>FSSI is looking for a full-time<strong> Mail Sorter </strong>to join our 2nd shift team in <strong>Lincoln, Rhode Island.</strong> This position is responsible for sorting of mail from the mail insert machine and assisting operators with mail production. </p><p>Schedule: 2nd<strong> shift</strong>; Full-time, <strong>Monday - Friday, 4:00 pm - 12:30 am.</strong></p><p><strong>Overtime is scheduled on an as needed basis. Extended hours are usually scheduled at least once a month, typically during the first 7 days of each month to complete month end processing. Additional overtime could be scheduled during the week, and could include weekends in rare circumstances.</strong></p><p/><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Transfer sealed envelopes from insert machine to mail trays.</li><li>Ensure all envelopes are stamped and sealed.</li><li>Confirm mailing addresses and micro numbers are visible in envelope window.</li><li>Place filled mail trays onto pallets.</li><li>Sort at more than one machine at a time.</li><li>Assist machine operators with preparation work prior to start of each job.</li><li>Assist machine operators with the clearing of stock and materials at the end of each job. </li><li>Flexibility in work schedule, frequently 10 or more hours per day during overtime shifts, is required on a recurring basis.</li><li>Assist the department with additional work, as needed and/or requested.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED preferred.</li><li>Demonstrate effective written and oral communication, interpersonal, organizational, strong time management, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. </li><li>Must exhibit a strong customer service philosophy and attitude.</li><li>Must maintain a high level of confidentiality. </li><li>Work effectively independently and as a member of a team and work with all levels of employees. </li></ul><p/><p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS </strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and/or fingers to grasp, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
