Essential Job Summary::
The Line Sorter's main responsibility is to sort and pick through refuse at our MRF / Optical Sorting Facility (Materials Recovery Facility). They play an integral role in the elimination of wrongly recycled products into the environment’s waste and recycling stream.  They will learn the appropriate products to identify throughout the optical sorting machinery.

Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.:
<ul><li style="color:#000000">Must be able to stand for four hours at a time (based on shift and break rotations)</li><li style="color:#000000">Must be able to work in hot and cold weather (work area is not heated or cooled—it reflects the outdoor temperature at the time)</li><li style="color:#000000">Sort through recyclables on a moving conveyor belt</li><li style="color:#000000">Sweeping is required at cleanup time</li><li style="color:#000000">Light shoveling</li><li style="color:#000000">Occasional lifting (less than 50lbs)</li><li style="color:#000000">Familiarity with the use of hand tools like pliers for the cleaning of baled product</li></ul>

Requirements and Qualifications::
<ul><li style="color:#000000">Applicants must meet physical standards as specified above</li><li style="color:#000000">Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States</li><li style="color:#000000">Experience from the sanitation industry is strongly preferred</li><li style="color:#000000">Position requires a team-player attitude as job is spent in close quarters with other staff members that all rely on one another</li></ul> *Sorters will spend their shift standing on their feet alongside the conveyer beltsThey will be exposed to odors, hot or cold weather, as well as physically touching items in the recycling stream

In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for collecting soiled linen from Tisch and HCC chute rooms. Collects bags of linen, places in truck and transports to the main soiled linen holding room.Job Responsibilities:<ul style="list-style-type:disc;font-size:16px;margin:0"><li>Follows safety guidelines and meets physical effort standards. Advises supervisor of any hazardous conditions. Follows established departmental safety guidelines. Follows established infection control guidelines.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li><li>Collects soiled linen from Tisch and HCC chute rooms. Packs bags of linen in to trucks and transports truck to the main soiled linen collection room. Uses proper personal protective equipment when working in the chute rooms as well as with the soiled linen.</li><li>Provides the delivery of clean linen and scrubs to all distribution points in the hospital. Set-ups AM linen carts for delivery of linen to distribution points throughout the hospital.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Must be able to read, speak, write and follow written and verbal instructions in English. Should be able to perform simple arithmetic calculation.Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
