We are seeking a motivated Painter and Finishing Team Member to join our team building power distribution centers in Commerce City, CO!Hours: 5 am- 3:30 pm (50 hour work week, Mon-Fri, 5 x 10 hour shifts)Pay: $22- $24/hr DOEDesired skillset:Manufacturing background. We continuously partner with the nation’s leading fuel retailers and transportation agencies to create premier sign solutions that are <em><strong>Designed to be Bold, Engineered to Last.</strong></em><br/>Skyline Products <strong>Painter Helper </strong>Compensation:<br/>First shift 7:30am to 4:00pm $20-$24 an hour<br/>Second shift 4:00pm to 12:30am $2.00 shift differential<strong>.</strong></p><p>The <strong>Painter Helper</strong> assists the Industrial Painter with finish-coat painting in accordance with special specifications on work where high-grade finish is essential. Includes use of lacquers, enamels, and/or powder coat painting. Assists in mixing of paints to achieve special effects in shades for our Gas Price Signs.<br/><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Selecting and mixing coating paints to desired color and prepare spraying equipment such as cleaning or adjusting spray guns.</li><li>Preparing metals for painting and coating with sanding, grinding, hand tools and power tools as needed</li><li>Self-starter with the willingness to take direction from area lead and Production Painter and follow that direction when not working under direct supervision</li><li>Assist in reading and interpreting technical documents such as paint mixing procedures, and maintaining sprayer equipment as required</li><li>Have the ability and desire to become efficient with painting techniques, meet company productivity rates, maintain mil thickness, and learn all aspects of job as required.</li><li>Cleaning spraying equipment with solvent or other recommended cleaning solutions daily.</li><li>Maintaining the paint mix room, paint booth and all equipment while following the company safety policies.</li><li>Maintaining proper respirator care and operation and using the breathing air supply system when spraying epoxy paints</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 0-1 Year Industrial or Auto Body Paint Experience</li><li>Minimum 0-1 Year Use of Paint Sprayer and all Appropriate Equipment</li><li>Minimum 0-1 Year Prepping and Preparing Metals for Finish Coats and Painting</li><li>Experience Reading Blueprints and Painting Diagrams and Specific Documents a plus</li><li>Exceptional communication and customer service skills</li><li>Strong work ethic</li><li>1 - 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental and Vision)</li><li>401k with company match</li><li>Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary and AD&D)</li><li>Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, Personal and Company Holidays)</li><li>Short Term and Long Term Disability</li><li>Training and Development</li></ul><p>Candidates must pass a background check and drug screen that includes marijuana.</p><p>Skyline Products is an equal opportunity employer.
