This professorship includes research support from the Klein endowment. Candidates must hold a PhD (or equivalent) in mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field, and have established themselves as internationally recognized researchers with a demonstrated record of scholarship and leadership in mathematics or statistics. The position is available at either the associate professor rank (“Distinguished Scholar”) or the full professor rank (“Distinguished Professor”). The selected candidate will establish and lead a cutting-edge research program in mathematics and statistics at UNC Charlotte, fostering collaboration within the department and across departments and colleges in alignment with strategic research areas (<a href="https://research.charlotte.edu/research-areas-focus-and-distinction/" rel="nofollow">UNC Charlotte Research Areas</a>).
