Position Title: Entry-Level Steel Ironworker Location: Rochester, NY Reports to: Field Foreman and Project Manager assigned to the specific project being erected Compensation: $23 - $27 per hour, with opportunities for annual reviews and increases Company Overview:

As an Entry-Level Steel Ironworker at Ramar Steel, you will be trained to assist in the erection of steel frameworks for commercial construction projects. Under the guidance of more experienced ironworkers and supervisors, your role will focus on supporting the safe and efficient completion of projects, ensuring that deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist in the installation of steel components and framework</li><li>Help with the installation of metal decking</li><li>Aid in the setup and tightening of bolts securely</li><li>Operate basic construction equipment under supervision (such as aerial lifts, forklifts)</li><li>Participate in welding operations as directed (with training provided)</li><li>Assist in maintaining a safe work environment by following safety guidelines and regulations</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned to support project goals</li></ul> Skills and Attributes:<ul><li>OSHA 10-hour Construction course certification (or willingness to obtain)</li><li>Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions</li><li>Ability to work well as part of a team and follow directions</li><li>Strong commitment to safety practices</li><li>Valid NY state driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites</li><li>Possess basic hand tools (company will provide more specialized equipment)</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, nights, and weekends as needed</li></ul> Benefits: Benefits at Start:<ul><li>Eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>40 hours of sick time annually (prorated)</li><li>Annual bonus potential</li><li>Access to discounted start-up tools, PPE, and company logo wear</li></ul>After 90 Days:<ul><li>Performance review at 90 days</li><li>Holiday pay eligibility</li><li>$20,000 life insurance coverage</li><li>401k contribution with a 4% employer match</li></ul>After 1 Year:<ul><li>1 week of paid vacation</li><li>Profit sharing program (prorated)</li></ul>

Job Title: Structural Steel Estimating Trainee Compensation: $50,000-$65,000 Location: Rochester, NY  Position Overview:

This position offers the opportunity to learn and grow in the structural steel estimating field with hands-on training from our experienced estimating team. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, possess a strong work ethic, and have the drive to succeed in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities:

Training & Learning<ul><li>No structural steel experience is needed.</li><li>Learn to interpret architectural and structural contract drawings, estimate specifications, and bid forms.</li><li>Learn to enter data for structural steel material estimates and assist with Ramar proposal letters.</li></ul>Bid Documentation & Deadline Management<ul><li>Prepare bid forms, bid bonds, and performance bonds as required.</li><li>Ensure timely completion of estimates, meeting stringent deadlines.</li><li>Review finalized estimate proposal letters for accuracy and completeness.</li></ul>Stakeholder Communication & Project Coordination<ul><li>Attend in-house estimating scheduling meetings to ensure alignment across teams.</li><li>Communicate with customers, general contractors, and other stakeholders about potential and ongoing projects.</li><li>Assist with negotiating bids with project owners.</li><li>Review labor estimates with owners to ensure accuracy for both shop and field labor.</li></ul>Project & Contract Review<ul><li>Review contract documents to understand project scope and deliverables.</li><li>Stay informed of any project changes by reviewing addenda, construction bulletins, RFPs, or other change documents.</li><li>Attend pre-bid project meetings or site walk-throughs to gather project details.</li></ul>General Duties & Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide support to the estimating team as needed, learning the intricacies of the structural steel estimating process.</li><li>Develop and maintain a high attention to detail, focusing on quality and accuracy in all tasks.</li><li>Take responsibility for accurate data entry and documentation related to estimates.</li></ul> Qualifications:
