Responsibilities Responsibilities would include a range of activities which may include: Participate as task and project manager on a variety of water resources projects, including tracking task budgets and schedules Act as mentor in an interdisciplinary water resources team Identify and track short-term deadlines, deliverables, and tasks as well as long-term client goals Oversee field investigations including, but not limited to, stormwater system inspections, illicit discharge investigations, stormwater system mapping, and water quality sampling Analyze and interpret data related to water quality and drainage asset management to develop appropriate next steps for clients Develop data management tools in ArcGIS, including ArcGIS Online Support clients in interpreting and developing compliance approaches and programs for complex stormwater regulatory requirements Develop innovative approaches for internal and client workflows to improve efficiency, quality, and feasibility Oversee the preparation of technical reports, graphics, and guidance documents Lead the development of federal, state, and local permit applications and compliance reports Identify stormwater program funding approaches, including preparing grant applications and developing stormwater enterprise funds. Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to solve problems and think creatively Detail-oriented and highly organized Team-oriented with strong capability to motivate others Strong technical writing and presentation skills Proficient in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and spatial database development Proven project management skills including scope and fee development and budget and schedule tracking Strong understanding of environmental regulations, including the Clean Water Act, Massachusetts MS4 Permit, and Massachusetts Wetland Protection Act Effective data analysis and visualization skills Understanding of hydrologic processes, water quality treatment mechanisms, and drainage system design concepts Ability to travel, if required Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software a plus.
