p>• Clean and sanitize china, glass, and silver using the dishwashing machine; load and unload dishware and flatware from dishwashing machine and store properly • Clean and sanitize all pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using the correct cleaning and rinsing solutions; safely utilize and store all cleaning compounds, chemicals, and materials including soaking solution utilizing the correct protective clothing • Clean, dust, seep, mop, polish, scrub, wash, strip, and buff in all kitchen production areas, hallways, including purchasing hallway and loading dock • Maintain the cleanliness of cafeteria including but not limited to sanitizing tables, chairs, walls, floors, hotline and salad bar; restock condiments and paper goods as necessary; restock and breakdown plates, flatware, glasses, all food and beverage items as necessary • Set up salad bar items; set-up hotline with food retrieved from kitchen • Date all food containers and rotate as per policies, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures; check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up. Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages; return all food items not used to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables; assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems; control food waste, loss and usage per policies • Safely utilize and store all cleaning compounds, chemicals, and materials including soaking solution utilizing the correct protective clothing • Review daily requisitions and complete, as appropriate; set up, maintain, organize and breakdown of all workstations in all work areas • Banquet set up, and any other duties related to the Banquet Steward position • Ability to ensure safety procedures are followed and able to notify security of any accidents or injury • To report equipment malfunctions promptly and accurately • Perform any other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff • Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
