We partner with some of the world's largest manufacturers to create world-class products used in branding and packaging solutions, hygiene and medical supplies, automotive and electronic components, aviation, and thousands of other aspects of day-to-day life.Our Hammond, Wisconsin factory is looking for a Lab Technician, if you're new to the manufacturing industry, we offer onsite, hands-on training and all team members are eligible for multiple opportunities for growth, learning and development.A Lab Technician works with production to ensure a quality product is produced to the customer standards by performing quality checks and following established safety and production procedure. This position will mainly work Monday - Thursday 5 am to 5 pmBase Pay Rate: $19.50 hourlyBenefits<ul><li>Comprehensive benefit plan, including health, dental, vision. Testing includes: <ul><li>Coat Weights</li><li>Subsequent Adhesions</li><li>Release, including various wet casts and tape test</li><li>Extractables</li><li>Moisture</li><li>Lay flat testing</li><li>Physical property testing including but not limited to; basis weight, caliper, tensile, tear, gloss, and Polybond. </li></ul></li><li>Inspect samples for defects and ensure that material conforms to requirements; inform appropriate personnel when defects are found.</li><li>Perform data entry into various computer databases (including internal rejects, reworks, PRISM< QDMS< shop floor, and excel spreadsheets) as required by quality assurance procedures.</li><li>Put retain samples into cores for customers.</li><li>Store internal samples into cores for customers</li><li>File 8 1/2x 11 samples from production, document samples into spreadsheet provided.</li><li>Purge files when needed.</li><li>Assist quality and production in tagging or removing labels from nonconforming material (red, orange, blue)</li><li>Assist in orientation and training or any new lab tech assigned to the shift.</li><li>At the end of each shift make sure quality lab is clean and organized.</li><li>Perform other associated duties, as assigned.</li></ul>Skills and Experience:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>2 years plant experience</li><li>Knowledge of laboratory procedures</li><li>Basic math skill, and computer skills (primarily data entry)</li><li>Good written and oral communication skills, including ability to read and interpret test procedures</li><li>Ability to work in a team environment</li><li>Detail oriented</li></ul>We are an equal opportunity employer.
