<div>The <strong>Summer Camp Counselor </strong>is responsible for all activities related to camp at the club including but not limited to assisting in creating, implementing, and overseeing family-friendly events and youth programs, set-up, clean up, and supervising younger members in a safe and friendly way.</div><div><br/><strong>POSITION FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:</strong></div><ul><li>Greet members and guests in a professional and friendly manner.</li><li>Respond to member questions by providing correct information and answering the telephone in a professional manner.</li><li>Assist with set-up, decorations, and safety checks before events.</li><li>Host and engage children and families in activities, including pool activities, events, camps, and holiday events.</li><li>Assist parents in signing their children in and out and checking identification.</li><li>Be knowledgeable of and comply, at all times, with the Club’s standards, policies, and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.</li><li>Ensure knowledge of all children’s allergies and special needs.</li><li>Supervise children and use good judgment when in our care.</li><li>Adhere to all rules regarding younger members.</li><li>Assist with handling kids’ meals.</li><li>Communicate effectively and inform immediate supervisors of any unforeseen circumstances and react appropriately.</li><li>Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and secure locking of children’s playroom.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by managers.</li><li>Willingness to be in the pool and participant in water activities</li></ul><div><br/><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:</strong></div><ul><li>High school education or equivalent required.</li><li>Must possess CPR and First Aid certification.</li><li>One year of childcare experience is required.</li><li>Knowledge of Outlook, internet applications, and use of office equipment.</li><li>Must have knowledge of age-appropriate activities and enjoy working with all age groups.</li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with members, guests, clients, and employees.</li><li>Must possess excellent communication skills including strong verbal, written, and positive interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to project voice and get the attention and cooperation of young members.</li><li>Knowledge of and ability to perform a required role in emergency situations.</li><li>Must work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner.</li><li>Ability to interact effectively with members, guests, and staff of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and education levels.</li><li>Excellent team player with the ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><div><br/><strong>PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:</strong></div><ul><li>Requires the ability to safely lift items up to 30 pounds.</li><li>Continuous walking and standing.</li><li>Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, pulling, and repetitive actions.</li><li>Be physically able to reach, bend, and stoop.</li><li>Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.</li><li>Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.</li><li>Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.</li><li>Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.</li><li>Must be effective in listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by members, guests, and team members. </li></ul><div><br/><strong>TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong></div><ul><li>Work is performed in an indoor/outdoor setting, busy and noisy environment.</li><li>Some varied weather conditions are expected with exposure to heat/humidity, or cool/cold weather.</li><li>Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates.</li></ul><div><br/></div><br/><br/><strong>About Marsh Landing Country Club:</strong><p>A membership at Marsh Landing Country Club continuously extends the values of community and benefits of privacy.
