The candidate shall (i) focus on Korean Language Studies as the primary subject of research and education; (ii) focus on the Korean language in more than fifty percent (50%) of their research; (iii) be proficient in the Korean language, and (iv) publish the findings of such research in the English language, and possibly in the Korean language. Specialization in one or more of the follow areas: GenAI in language teaching and materials design, corpus linguistics, assessment and program evaluation, teacher education, research methods, second language acquisition of heritage language learners, multilingualism, sociolinguistics.
