SSA Staff Counselors handle emergencies, communicate concerns and issues to the coordinator, work to resolve conflicts between participants, facilitate conflict resolution, mental health, empowerment, and self-management workshops, and train student counselors how to recognize crises and de-escalate conflict. Minimum qualifications: Currently Enrolled Students: Must be an enrolled student at Albany State University with at least a 2.75 GPA at the time of application, with no active student conduct violations, or any previous student conduct violations involving drugs, alcohol, or physical violence.
