Candidates should be interested in pursuing a career in reporting. A strong candidate for this 10-week internship should be insatiably curious and want to tell stories on a variety of community topics from city news to business to arts and culture. This intern will be responsible for both breaking news and enterprise and should be interested in telling stories on a variety of platforms, including video, photo and social media. Data and data presentations skills are a plus but not required. Jackson is a state capital with a fascinating history and no shortage of great stories.
