Overview:
Seeking Seasonal Summer Day Camp Counselors to join our Canandaigua Corps Our Seasonal opportunities offer Sick time SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:Oversee and supervise a group of children in the Summer Day Camp Recreation Program while maintaining health and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. <ul><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 43.5pt">Lead structured and unstructured activities for children participating in the Summer Day Camp Program</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 43.5pt">Supervise a group of 8–12 children during the day to coordinate recreation activities that encourage teamwork and character building opportunities</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 43.5pt">Maintain health and safety of children according to camp manual at all times</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 43.5pt">Report any problems and concerns to the Program Director as needed</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 43.5pt">Report and discipline concerns to the Program Director as needed</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 43.5pt">Attend all staff meetings and training sessions as scheduled</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 43.5pt">Encourage each child to participate in constructive recreation and leisure activities</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 43.5pt">Assist children to develop an awareness of the Canandaigua community and leisure options in the community</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 43.5pt">Other duties as assigned by the Program Director</li></ul> Other Duties:  Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.  Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice due to business needs.

Qualifications:
